Northbound from Tyne Tunnel

1. Take left exit for Jarrow & South Shields

2. Turn right at the roundabout

3. Follow road until next roundabout, Turn right

4. At mini-roundabout, turn right

5. Turn right into blue gates

Southbound from Tyne Tunnel

1. Stay in left-hand lane, take slip road sign posted Jarrow & South shields

2. Go straight ahead at the roundabout

3. Follow road until next roundabout, Turn right

4. At mini-roundabout, turn right

5. Turn right into blue gates

From A1 Washington Services

1. Take the A194 off the A1(M) by Washington Services and follow signs for the Tyne Tunnel.

2. As you approach a roundabout (Whitemare Pool) go straight ahead.

3. At the next roundabout follow signs for Mill Lane and Hebburn (a left lane turn)

4. Turn right at the mini roundabout. At the junction turn left and follow the road to the bottom.

5. At the mini roundabout turn left continue on that road,

6. At the roundabout turn right and follow the road (Hebburn civic hall, swimming pool and police station on your right.)

7. Keep going until you have reached a pub called “The Clock” on your left. As soon as you see The Clock” turn left onto Black Road.

8. Follow this road until you reach a mini-roundabout. Go straight over the mini roundabout onto Windmill Way.

9. The Eco centre is the building on the right with the wind turbine in the car park.

BY METRO

We are situated approximately 0.8 miles from Jarrow Metro station.

1.       Walk north-west on Grant Street towards Caroline St

2.       Turn right onto Hill Street and continue onto Palmer Street

3.       Turn left onto Western Rd/B1297 for 0.4 miles.

4.       At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Windmill Way.
